PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The school year consists of two semesters, Fall and Spring. Each class meets once a week, for 12 weeks.

YEAR 1 GROW

We believe growth comes by transformation, and transformation takes place through relationship with God and revelation of His Word. In Romans 12:1 & 2, Paul exhorts us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice (relationship) and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (revelation). As a first year student you will grow in intimacy with God through in-depth Bible study and learning to walk in the Spirit.

YEAR 2 LEARN

One of the Greek descriptions for the word learn implies “use and practice.” We believe the best way to reinforce the knowledge you have gained in the first year is to provide you with opportunities to use and practice your understanding, skills and gifts in the classroom as well as in your life. As a second year student you will learn to apply the realities of your faith to daily living and ministry.

School of the Spirit graduates who have identified a desire and call to one of the “Five-Fold” ministry offices (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) are eligible to apply for the 3rd Year Internship program. This internship will provide 3rd Year Students (Interns) the opportunity to study and work hands-on with a seasoned minister (in their specific field) for 3 months. Interns are required to fulfill “in-service” hours as well as classroom time. At the end of the 3 month internship, students submit their final assignment detailing their discovery, evaluation and personal vision for  the specific ministry office.

Upon completion of the 3rd year, interns may pursue ordination through School of the Spirit and His Providence Church. (An additional application is required for this and ordination is not guaranteed.) Ordination applications are reviewed by the School of the Spirit Leadership Team as well as the Board of Elders at His Providence Church.
